Boxrent auctions
When a unit is abandoned and the rent stops being paid, its contents are sold at auction. Anyone may take part: view the lots on site and send us your offer.

Auction rules
Taking part
Boxrent holds auctions of goods open to everyone. They are run in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
To take part, write to sales@boxrent.lv and say that you want to join the auctions.
Dates, times and addresses
Auctions are held periodically, usually once a month. We announce each one a few days ahead by email to everyone who has signed up. Several lots may be shown on the same date.
Auctions take place in Riga, Latvia. The exact place and time differ each time and are given in the announcement email.
If you cannot come on the day
Within 3 working days after the main viewing you can arrange another day and time to view the available lots privately.
The fee for a private viewing is 15.00 EUR (VAT 21% included), payable before the visit. All other conditions are the same as for everyone else.
How the viewing runs
At the announced time and place everyone meets a Boxrent representative. The representative opens each lot; you may examine the contents without taking anything out of the unit and without damaging it. One lot takes about 15 minutes to view. After all the lots at one location have been shown, the representative may take the group to another location with further lots.
Every lot has its own identification number, which the representative gives on the spot. Write the numbers down so you can refer to them in your offer.
After the viewings you have 3 working days to email your price for each lot you want to sales@boxrent.lv. Include your details (private person: name, surname, date of birth; company: name and registration number), the lot numbers and your price for each.
Example: Hello, Janis Ozols, date of birth 20.12.1990, offers for the following lots: - BXA130224-1: 100 EUR - BXA130224-2: 46 EUR - BXA130224-3: 1021 EUR
The starting price for every lot is 20.00 EUR (VAT 21% included) unless a different amount is stated for a particular lot.
Security deposit
Boxrent may ask the highest bidders to pay a security deposit of 20% of their offer, payable within 24 hours. It is requested only from the bidder with the highest and the second highest offer.
Results
The bidder with the highest offer for a lot who has paid the deposit is the winner. There is no limit on how many lots one bidder may win.
Bidders who offered less are told that their offer was lower, and any deposit they paid is returned within 2 working days. If a winner changes their mind, the deposit is not returned and the lot is offered to the second highest bidder.
What the winner must do
Within 24 hours the winner must pay the remaining 80% of the offer and sign the one-page purchase agreement electronically (no e-signature needed).
Handover
After full payment and signature the buyer gets access to the unit for 7 calendar days to remove the goods. To receive access, the buyer signs an acceptance act - electronically or on the spot at the lot.
